Fresh strawberries taste so good this time of year. Summer is almost over. Yes!!! I’m ready to say adios to 90 some degree weather for crying out loud. Sonic Drive-In has been selling half price shakes all summer long. They are amazing and amazingly full of calories. It’s a damn good thing it is far from our house or it would be an ongoing problem. Their medium sized strawberry shake has 750 calories. The recipe for my shake has 335 calories, tastes delicious, and has only 3 ingredients.
Clean and cut the tops off of the strawberries.
You will also need light agave nectar and frozen vanilla yogurt.
Add frozen yogurt, slightly softened, to a blender.
Blend. Blendy Blenderton.
Add agave nectar to your desired sweetness. Blend it again.
If you want the consistency thicker, pour into glasses and then pop ’em in the freezer for 15 minutes or so.
- 2 Cups of fresh strawberries. Cleaned and hulled.
- 3 T light agave nectar.
- 4 scoops of vanilla frozen yogurt.
- Blend ingredients.
